Black & Gold “GO” Tin Lithograph Earrings

Regular price $20.00

I made these earrings by cutting teardrop shapes out of a piece of  lithograph tin with the University of Iowa logo on it, & adding brass rivets.   Lithography is a method of printing that dates back to the 1790s.  During the early & mid-20th century, lithography was used to produce brightly colored tin that was used in toys, TV trays, lunch boxes, candy containers, doll houses & other items.  The earrings measure just under 3” from the base of the earring wires, which are gold-tone.
