Copper & 1942 United Automobile, Aircraft & Agricultural Implement Workers (UAW) Button Necklace

I made the pendant using a 1942 UAW pinback button that I found at the What Cheer Flea market.  I love the colors on the button, as well as the little drawings of the car, airplane & tractor.  I bezel-set the pinback button on copper I'd textured with cheesecloth & patinated with liver of sulfur.  The UAW was established in 1935, & currently has almost 1 million members in the US, Canada & Puerto Rico.  For the chain, I used vintage resistors, glass beads from a broken vintage bracelet, & gunmetal black Marquis chain.  The necklace measures 19.75” around (excluding the 1.5” pendant), but can be worn shorter.
