Borrow the Moon

She had stolen the moon light. Hid it under her waves and storms, and left the night dark. But as moon glow lit the water and calmed her raging heart, she found an answering light within her, that soon grew strong and bright. She took a deep breath of water, but still she didn’t drown. So palms held open, eyes shut tight, she returned the moon.
