Red & Gold “V” Lithograph Tin & Gold Bead Earrings

Red & Gold “V” Lithograph Tin & Gold Bead Earrings.  I made these earrings by cutting “V” shapes out of vintage lithograph tin, riveting brass eyelets to them, shaping them on a wooden block, & adding goldtone chain & a brass teardrop bead.  Lithography is a method of printing that dates back to the 1790s.  During the early & mid-20th century, lithography was used to produce brightly colored tin that was used in toys, TV trays, lunch boxes, candy containers, doll houses & other items.  The earrings measure 1 5/8” from the base of the earring wires, which are goldtone.
