Riveted Tea Time Lithograph Tin Quadrilateral Earrings

Regular price $20.00

I made these earrings by cutting quadrilateral shapes out of vintage lithograph tin from an old tea container, riveting a brass eyelet to them, & shaping them on a wooden block.  Lithography is a method of printing that dates back to the 1790s.  During the early & mid-20th century, lithography was used to produce brightly colored tin that was used in toys, TV trays, lunch boxes, candy containers, doll houses & other items.  The earrings measure 1.5” from the base of the earring wires, which are gold-tone.
